Y is for Yankee

Yankee

If a smidgin too much hanky-panky
Left me feeling a little bit cranky,
Imagine the blow
When I first came to know
That my son was becoming a Yankee!

(nothing personal, Son; it’s just a limerick)

As my contribution to the A-Z blogging challenge this year, I am offering each day a limerick containing the day’s key word, the key words being based on the NATO phonetic alphabet. atoz [2015] - BANNER - 910

X is for X-ray

X-ray

They took an x-ray of my arm
And said there’s no cause for alarm.
The doc said it’s best
That I should just rest;
Lay back, cover up, and keep warm.

W is for Whiskey

Whiskey

If drinking a bottle of whiskey
Can leave a man feeling quite frisky,
A bottle of rum
Will curdle his tum
And can end up being quite risky.
