T is for Tremble #atozchallenge

As my contribution to the A-Z blogging challenge this year, I shall be offering each day a limerick containing the day’s key word, the key words being based on a random selection made by a web site that does that kind of thing. Today’s word is:

Tremble

More, even, than seeing a ghost,
I tremble when I get the post.
It makes me feel ill
That there might be a bill,
But it’s junk mail that I fear the most.

Bonus — T is for Tentative

An ad-man of old, most perceptive
Saw the need for a new contraceptive.
His plan was too tentative
To sell a preventative
But he tried, using methods deceptive..

S is for Sickie #atozchallenge

As my contribution to the A-Z blogging challenge this year, I shall be offering each day a limerick containing the day’s key word, the key words being based on a random selection made by a web site that does that kind of thing. Today’s word is:

Sickie

His wife said, “John, let’s have a quickie.”
He said, “Great, I’ll phone in a sickie.
I hope it’ll work,
the boss is a jerk,
But his sidekick might be a bit tricky.”

Bonus — S is for Serendipitous

I was faced with a drop most precipitous
And felt staying alive serendipitous.
I developed an itch;
Made me want to twitch
Not for birds, but like Alf Ippititimus.

R is for Reoffend #atozchallenge

As my contribution to the A-Z blogging challenge this year, I shall be offering each day a limerick containing the day’s key word, the key words being based on a random selection made by a web site that does that kind of thing. Today’s word is:

Reoffend

The Pastor, while trying to befriend
Some convicts who oft reoffend,
Said, “If you don’t do right
And come into the light,
More years behind bars you will spend.”
