A series of (non-acrostic) limericks produced in response to various prompts.

These will appear on Saturday mornings wherever possible.

Let me know what you think.

for Kristian – https://talesfromthemindofkristian.wordpress.com/2021/01/30/educate/

“Educate!” It’s the cry of the times.
“Less violence, less poverty, fewer crimes.”
If only they knew
As not many do,
I’ll still be out hunting for rhymes.

for Kristian – https://talesfromthemindofkristian.wordpress.com/2021/01/31/disappointed/

All hail to the PM’s anointed!
I promise you’ll be disappointed.
Their truth is elastic,
Their punishments drastic,
And their policies truly disjointed.

for Esther – https://wordpress.com/read/feeds/10756820/posts/3158012571

When it has been dry for a time,
A shower of rain is sublime.
I really like summer,
Though winter’s a bummer,
But spring is the easiest to rhyme!

for Kristian – https://talesfromthemindofkristian.wordpress.com/2021/02/03/generous-2/

Had I the power and the means;
Were generosity there in my genes;
I’d graciously gift
A lesson in thrift
To wastrels and counters of beans.

for Kristian – https://talesfromthemindofkristian.wordpress.com/2021/02/04/gloomy/

Why are you being so gloomy?
The place where you live is quite roomy:
There’s soaps on the telly
And food in your belly;
If that’s not enough for you, sue me!
