Acrostic Limericks 18

Many examples of acrostic poems can be found scattered around the web (where the first letter of each line spells out a word when read from top to bottom), but I have found very few examples of acrostic Limericks.

I now look out for prompts that contain five letters (or ten, fifteen or… let’s not get ahead of ourselves, eh?). I may add the odd one of my own, too.

Let me know what you think.

For Kristian (

Economies worldwide are wrecked
Leaders act more like a sect
Evading the shmooze
Carefully choose
To reject, eject or elect

For Kristian (

Vera believed she’d been clever
In getting home quicker than ever.
Vera was wrong;
It took twice as long.
Don’t worry, late’s better than never.

For Kristian (

Compose me a limerick creepy
Repeat it until I am sleepy.
Elf, goblin and faerie
Ever so scary—
Please wait, cos I need to go pee-pee.

For Kristian (

Order is what guides my life,
Relieves me of all kinds of strife.
Daren’t drop my guard,
Everything’s hard.
Regardless, please don’t tell the wife!

Anyone care to join in?
