“Now, you have to be very careful with this.”
“I know, I know. You already explained that.”
“Yes, I did, but I want to make sure you know exactly how precious this is.”
“Please don’t lecture me on being careful. After all, you’re the one who dropped the last one.”
“Okay, that was an accident. I was jostled when we traded last time.”
“I’m just saying there is no reason to doubt that I won’t take care.”
“Okay, I get it. I didn’t realize you were so sensitive.”
“I’m not sensitive. You’re always giving me directions that don’t seem necessary is all.”
“Excuse me, but aren’t you the one who always gets nervous on new assignments?”
“You call it nervous I call it thorough because I want to do a good job, unlike some people I know.”
“You can’t be talking about me.”
“I am talking about you, Mr. Oops.”
“Where did that come from?”
“Oh, come on. Your little slip caused an entire system to implode.”
“Wait a minute. That system was tens of millions of years old. it was ready.”
“Says you. Okay, let’s forget it. I have the Orion arm solar system in my hand. You have a nice play day.”
“I will try now that I know you hate me.”
“Quit being a little child. You are a god for heaven’s sake. Act like it.”
“You are always so mean.”
“Cry baby.”
On to this week’s challenge: Using this photo as inspiration, write a short story, flash fiction, scene, poem; anything, really; even just a caption for the photograph. Either put it (or a link to it) in a comment or email it to me at keithchanning@gmail.com before 6pm next Sunday (if you aren’t sure what the time is where I live, this link will tell you). If you post it on your own blog or site, a link to this page would be appreciated, but please do also mention it in a comment here.
Go on. You know you want to. Let your creativity and imagination soar. I shall display the entries next Monday.
Thank you for publishing my story. Here is tomorrow’s http://johnwhowell.com/2020/03/10/tuesday-anything-possible-kreative-kue-253-by-keith-channing/
